Carnaval

Mid-February, spectacular carnival festivities throughout Benidorm and surrounding areas.

Festivals also take place in Alicante just 45 km / 28 miles south of Benidorm.

Celebrations include colourful processions of decorated floats, street entertainment, music and dancing, and the tradition of burying of a sardine on Ash Wednesday.
