The first few weeks I lived in spain with my “lovely” alco-ex I had a total feeling that life here was going to be a holiday full of sex, booze, money and palm trees. How wrong can a person be! After the initial few days of lazing in the burning sun, I went to look for a job. I was very lucky to find one within 2 days. The thing that shocked me though was the wages. Here I was 20+(yes I remain an enigma) and I had to work for € 4,21 per hour. I was used to a more “normal” wedge at the end of a working week. Here I am a few years later( and still under 30 thank you ) and even though my wage had gone up, unfortunately so have all the prices from housing to food.
