The sauna is in the same venue as the old Adonis sauna but any of you who visited it before will not recognise it after the new owners have completely refurbished it. Many at the launch party were regulars of the old sauna and could not believe the transformation. “It has been well worth the wait” one regular told us. After coming in through the discreet entrance, you enter the changing area. The first thing you notice, well as long as there is not a greek god taking his kit off, is how clean it is. It is spacious, well lit and equipped with individual lockers, washing facilities and a hair dryer.
The bar area, which is the only place where smoking is permitted, is tastefully decorated and provides a good selection of refreshments including tapas in the near future. Moving through into the main body of the sauna there is comfortable seating around the wall which provides a perfect viewing position to watch anyone enjoying the relaxing whirlpool bath set in the middle of the room. Just off from this room is the video room showing a tasteful selections of videos depicting...., well lets just say the chairs are very comfortable leather two seater sofas, making them easy to wipe clean. In the rear of down stairs is a dark maze area, oh how you boys do enjoy to play. I did notice that the workmen seem to have left a few holes in the partition walls just below waist height, but I am sure someone will find a use for them. There is also a massage room, furnished in an oriental theme where you can book the services of the local masseur. So far we have not availed ourselves of this service but having seen the gentleman offering it, it looks like it is worth every penny. Lastly on our tour of the ground floor there are a number of individual lockable rooms which are available for quiet meditation either alone or even better in a group of two or more! Each room has a padded mattress area to allow you to lie down to gain true enlightenment.
So on we go to the upstairs area via a spiral staircase in the bar area. The first floor is not a big as downstairs but it does have a very clean shower room, communal of course, the steam room and some dark corners! Oh I nearly forgot there is a sauna up there as well. Splash is open every day from 3pm till 10pm. The new owners are very keen to please their new customers and say they may stay open later on certain nights to allow you to relax after clubbing, as long as there is a demand for it. We will let you know when these evening are happening. Entrance is 10€ for the day and you can cum and go as you please. It also includes the use of a towel and slippers.
Entrance on Thursday’s is only 8€. The cost of a massage by that beautifully proportioned young man is 20€ for 40 minutes and 30€ for an hour.
So if we were to sum up this new facility we would say it was clean, tasteful and well worth a visit. We are sure you will not be disappointed.
