Well its been a cracking weekend for all in Benidorm i think! Eurovision “pro” and “anti” parties were hosted all over the Old Town on Saturday night. Casa Don Juan, Company Bar and Caspers, were fit to burst throughout the screening of the legendary contest. Meanwhile, other venues relished the idea of banning the show completely, and hosted anit-euro parties, which were equally successful.
Well sadly, but not surprisingly, The United Kingdom came last ... again! I love the atmosphere of Eurovision, but hate the politics. I have to admit, the UK’s performance was pretty shocking even though the guy was cute! Well done to Germany though ... good song!

I come with more news about the 4th series of Benidorm! Yay!
Former I’m A Celebrity contestant Katie Price and gay icon Cilla Black are to make guest appearances in the ITV comedy series Benidorm. The show’s creator, Derren Litten, confirmed the appearances by the two at Attitude magazine’s Sweet 16 party. Attitude is the leading magazine for the gay community.

"Both women are great signings for the show and I can't wait to work with them. Cilla has basically agreed to play the oldest swinger in town and will really ham it up in a basque and suspenders, all the works. The show will be going out in autumn and will be very special. I'm really proud of it." – Litten quoted in The Mirror

ITV has commissioned a one-off special of Benidorm to be followed by a fourth season – with rumours it’ll feature a live episode. It was reported earlier this year that Johnny Vegas would not be reprising his role of The Oricale for new episodes of the series.
Benidorm fact of the week.
Due to the unique skyline formed by its numerous tall hotels and apartment buildings it is sometimes referred to as the "Manhattan of Spain" or "Beniyork"
According to the Urban Age project, Benidorm has the most high-rise buildings per capita in the world. It seems so strange that our little sea-side town is compared with somewhere as iconic like NYC!
